THE DILO USA STORY

We are a family business, with a global presence, that values customer service and employee well-being over everything else. DILO GmbH was founded in Germany in 1951. The name DILO comes from the German word “dichtungslos”, which means “without o-rings”. DILO is a nod to our first product, self-sealing metal to metal couplings that ensure leak proof connections.  

Reinhold Probst founded DILO Company, Inc in 1990 in Clearwater, FL. He was an employee of DILO GmbH who wanted to open another branch in North America to better serve the growing customer base. In 2014, the service division, DILO Direct was founded. Since then, DILO Company and DILO Direct have grown to include over 50 employees and representatives in three locations: Florida, Arizona, and Oregon. DILO Company, Inc. and DILO Direct serve Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and parts of South America.
